Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data koderna.com collects, why, for how long it is kept, and what rights you have over it. It is written to be read rather than to be survived.

Who is the controller

Koderna s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic, is the controller of personal data processed through this website. Registration number, VAT number and registered office are shown in the site footer. For any privacy question, including exercising the rights described below, write to hello@koderna.com.

What we collect, and when

Only two things: what you send us deliberately, and aggregate statistics that do not identify you.

• Contact enquiries. If you submit the contact form, we receive the name, company, email address, phone number and message you enter, together with the IP address the request came from and your browser's user-agent string. The IP and user-agent are kept only as a spam-mitigation measure.
• Aggregate analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, which is cookieless and does not collect or store personal data or build cross-site profiles. It tells us how many people viewed a page and which page they came from. It cannot tell us who you are.
• Language preference. If you switch language, a cookie named koderna_lang stores that choice so the site remembers it. It contains a two-letter language code and nothing else.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, session recording, heat-mapping or cross-site trackers, and we do not run a consent banner because nothing on this site requires consent to place.

Why we are allowed to process it

• Contact enquiries are processed on the basis of steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)), and thereafter on our legitimate interest in responding to and recording business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)).
• Spam-mitigation data (IP, user-agent) is processed on our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable (Article 6(1)(f)).
• The language cookie is strictly necessary to provide a function you explicitly requested and therefore requires no consent.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship: deleted within 24 months.
• Enquiries that lead to a contract: kept for the duration of the relationship and for the statutory retention periods that follow it.
• Spam-mitigation data: 12 months.
• Aggregate analytics: retained indefinitely, because it contains no personal data.

Who else is involved

Personal data reaches only the processors needed to run the site and answer you:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting and content delivery for koderna.com, and the edge function that receives the contact form. Cloudflare processes the connection metadata inherent in serving a web request.
• Our own application backend, hosted in the European Union, which stores submitted enquiries.
• Plausible Analytics — aggregate, cookieless analytics, processed in the European Union.
• Google LLC — the site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser's IP address is transmitted to Google in order to fetch them.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare and Google are US companies that may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. The enquiry data itself is stored in the European Union.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, or a copy in a portable format. You may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Write to hello@koderna.com and we will respond within one month.

If you believe we have handled your data improperly, you may complain to the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz), or to the supervisory authority in your country of residence.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We do not make silent revisions.
